Camp Location

Ngawi was about 20 kilometers north-west of Madioen. The Fort Generaal van den Bosch was situated at the confluence of the Madioen and Solo Rivers, north-east of Ngawi.

Note:  In 1940, this fort was used to imprison all NSB (“
Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging” - the Dutch

pro-Nazi Nationalist-Socialist Movement) party members and Germans in East-Java.
